Enriching Daycare with Targeted Training Sessions

Great option for anyone looking for specialized training.

Does your dog need some help maintaining the basics? Our half hour daycare plus sessions completed by our trainer will help to sharpen their skills. We integrate specialized training sessions into your dog’s regular daycare schedule. This program is perfect for busy dog owners who want to ensure their furry friends not only socialize but also brush up on essential skills during their stay.

Our Daycare Plus Training is ideal if you’re looking to focus on specific training areas such as leash walking, mastering the “place” command, or improving recall.

If you’re unsure where to start, our trainers are here to help determine the best training approach for your dog. They will provide personalized one-on-one sessions that not only cater to your dog’s needs but also equip you with practical tips and techniques for ongoing training at home.

Before the session, you’ll have a discussion with our trainer to pinpoint the training focus. During daycare, your dog will be pulled aside for a dedicated 30-minute training session.

Whether indoors or outdoors, the training will be tailored based on the areas you’ve chosen. At pickup, you’ll receive detailed feedback and additional recommendations to enhance your dog’s learning further.

Pawsitive Feedback

Before training it was challenging to keep Juno’s habits organized and consistent. Through this program, Juno’s learnt essential basic skills that made out life easier and better. Juno was also able to build beneficial habits.

Arlene and Joanne were amazing with our hyper puppy. Took the time and attention we needed that was beyond just the basic training by giving so much advice in areas we were struggling with. Thank you for everything! Look forward to social obedience and agility training!

We adopted Freddy at 18 months. He was a gentle dog with people but not social with dogs (ie. barked during walks). He now walks with very little notice of other dogs. He also knew zero commands. Now he sits on command, stays in his place and drops objects with the OFF command.

Before training Oscar was a wild child. He is slightly calmer now, sits when told and will walk beside us on a walk as opposed to pulling us. He is also familiar with his place.

Pippa was hesitant to even walk on her leash prior to training. Arlene is patient and her training methods are excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Dog Stop. Pippa walks at heel, sits, stays and is learning the come command to return. Thank you Arlene!
